The Treatment You Deserve.

Traditional Treatment Approach v.s. One-Sleep-Visit TM Total Dentistry Method

Anne's story continued:
To complete her procedures, Anne is told that (without the One-Sleep-Visit TM Total Dentistry Method) she would need a wide array of appointments and procedures that were tiime consuming and did nothing to alleviate her fear. In this example, Anne’s busy schedule would not allow her to be available for 13 separate appointments.  Her fear of the dentist could create an even bigger obstacle to her success, as she would need to refill her “reservoir of courage” to face each of the 13 appointments.

Without leaving her home, Anne’s New Patient Care Coordinator at the Blende Dental Group obtains her x-rays, dental history and treatment goals. Our dentists then use this information to develop a treatment plan estimate so that Anne knows what to anticipate before she travels. Our team recommends the dental treatment, the number (usually no more than two) and length of appointments, the specialists, the optimal sedation modality and an estimated fee.

On a Wednesday: Anne flies to San Francisco, arriving in our office at 3 P.M. Our dentists examine her teeth, then meet with Anne to discuss the next steps and finalize her treatment plan.

On Thursday: While Anne is asleep within the safety net of a local hospital, our dentists remove the decay and prepare her teeth for crowns and veneers.  The specialists then complete her root canals and extractions. She wakes up with all of this work completed, and beautiful temporary crowns and veneers in place. Her case information is then sent to the dental laboratory where they begin creating her permanent crowns and veneers.

On Friday: Anne stops by our office for a quick post-op check. Then she’s off to tour the city enjoy fabulous San Francisco for the weekend!

On Monday: Anne returns to our office to receive her permanent crowns and veneers.

Making the First Call

From your first call to our New Patient Care Coordinator, you can relax and know that we will take care of your every need. During that call, the coordinator learns more about you, your history, circumstances, and expectations for your new smile. We make arrangements for you to visit a radiologist in your local area who will send us X-rays and photos.  We will also consult with your local dentist to gather information and help us put together an appropriate treatment plan for you.

Planning Together

Once we understand your case, the dentists at the Blende Dental Group create a detailed treatment plan specifically for you. Your personal plan describes each tooth and the recommended treatment. Based on your level of dental fear and your required treatment, the dentists of the Blende Dental Group will recommend the best sedation option - either in the office using various oral sedation options or with I.V. sedation administered and monitored by an anesthesiologist. If your treatment plan or your current health status requires the use of general anesthesia, the Blende Dental Group may recommend taking your case to the hospital. Your New Patient Care Coordinator will explain your treatment plan, discuss your medical history and make financial arrangements. We devote as much time as needed to answering your questions and addressing your individual concerns. We can finish all of the planning for your case by phone, fax or e-mail.

When you feel confident and comfortable, we will schedule your appointment, and discuss the timing of subsequent appointments. We can also help make arrangements to ensure your comfort during your visit to San Francisco.
