Endodontists:
Joseph J. Grenn, D.M.D.Dr Joseph J. Grenn is an Endodontic Fellow of Harvard University where he completed his postgraduate work after graduating from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is also an Endodontic Fellow at the University of California and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
A pioneer in the use of the endodontic microscope, Dr Grenn is at the forefront of microscopic Endodontics, teaching the technique to Endodontists from around the world at the Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation
After graduating from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry, Dr. Cohen did his Postgraduate endodontic residency and received his Certificate in Endodontics in 1995 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received an award for excellence in oral medicine, American Academy of Oral Medicine, 1993.
Dr. Cohen has published numerous papers and articles regarding endodontic techniques and is currently Assistant professor of Endodontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco.
Dr. Cohen speaks Japanese and Spanish fluently and knows American Sign Language.
Dr. Scianamblo is a fellow of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a Professor at the University of California, School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He is the author of numerous endodontic publications and is a nationally and internationally renowned lecturer. He also maintains a private practice in Endodontics in Marin County California.
Periodontists
Kirk L. Pasquinelli, D.D.S.Kirk L. Pasquinelli received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, and his certificate of specialization in Periodontics from the University of Washington, Seattle. He has been a dentist since 1982 and has practiced Periodontics since 1987. Dr. Pasquinelli holds a faculty appointment at the University of California Dental School and has lectured internationally on a wide variety of periodontal topics.
Jay R. Salzman, D.D.S.Dr. Salzman received his dental degree from University of California. San Francisco, and completed his postgraduate training in Periodontics at Boston University. In addition to private practice, he was on the clinical faculty of U.C.S.F.'s periodontal department, and is currently in a full-time periodontal practice, with occasional postgraduate teaching. Dr. Salzman currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontics. He is a past president of the California Society of Periodontics, and a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International.
Sarah S. de Sanz, D.D.S.Dr. de Sanz completed her dental degree, a fellowship in Oral Medicine and postgraduate training in Periodontology at the University of California, San Francisco. She focuses on periodontics and implantology, as well as care of the geriatric and medically compromised. Dr de Sanz holds clinical faculty positions inn oral medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and the UCSF School of Dentistry, Department of Stomatology. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, the California Society of Periodontists and the American Academy of Oral Medicine.
Brand Ahn, D.D.SDr. Ahn graduated from the University of Chicago, received his doctorate of dental surgery from Columbia University in New York, and completed his postgraduate training in Periodontics at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ahn holds a position at the UOP School of Dentistry where he focuses on teaching periodontal surgery. He is the co-author of multiple publications and currently maintains a private practice in Marin county.
Oral Surgeons
Michael E. Barkin, D.D.S.After graduating from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry, Dr Barkin completed his Oral Surgery Training at Montefiore Hospital - Albert Einstein Institute of Medicine. Dr. Barkin taught full time at University Pacific School of Dentistry where he served as Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He currently Chairman of the Department of Oral Surgery and Dentistry at California Pacific Medical Center.
David Ehsan M.D., D.D.S.Dr. Ehsan attended the University of the Pacific in San Francisco for Dental School and the University of Nebraska for Medical School. Dr. Ehsan has completed a six year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Ehsan is one of a handful of surgeons who is dual degreed (Medicine and Dentistry) and dual board certified ( Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology); he is the only one with this level of training in San Francisco. Dr. Ehsan performs the full scope of oral and facial surgery with recognized expertise in dental implants, oral/facial reconstruction, and anesthesiology.
Dr. Ehsan is an assistant professor of oral/maxillofacial surgery at the University of the Pacific. He is an active attending surgeon at California Pacific Medical Center and maintains a private practice in downtown San Francisco devoted to advanced oral/facial and implant surgery.
Dr. Tolstunov is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This is unique, as Dr. Len Tolstunov is the only surgical specialist in California who holds three Diplomate statuses in both Oral Surgery and Oral Implantology.
He is a fellow of the American and California Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a member of several local and national dental and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery associations, including the American Dental Association, the American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Tolstunov holds a part-time teaching position as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Pacific University School of Dentistry. Dr. Tolstunov has inventions, and is a CPR and ACLS instructor.

Pediatric Dentists
David L. Rothman, D.D.S.
David L. Rothman, D.D.S. received his B. A. from State University of New York at Buffalo and his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry. Following a General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and an Anesthesiology Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, he completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at Children's Hospital in Oakland and the University of California, San Francisco. He remained at U.C.S.F. as Director of the Pediatric Dental Residency Program and later assumed the position of Chair of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Dr. Rothman is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serves on many committees for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Society of Anesthesia, American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
Dr Rayman is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry and completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn. Dr. Rayman is a Diplomat of the American board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American college of Dentists and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of many other dental organizations especially created to advance dentistry for children.
Orthodontists
Glen C. Young, D.D.S.Dr Young received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Toxicology at the University of California in Davis with highest honors. After graduating from the University of California, San Francisco Dental School, Dr. Young continued his education at UCSF in the orthodontic residency program and received his Certificate of Orthodontics. He was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at UCSF for six years and is a former President of the San Francisco Dental Society.
Rodney Lee, D.D.S.Dr Lee pursued his pre-dental degree at the University of San Francisco. He then graduated from the University of California, San Francisco as a Regents Scholar. After dental school, he continued at UCSF to receive his Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Lee is on faculty at UCSF and serves as a Clinical Professor.
